27 weeks of bump.

The past week has been very exhausting. Last weekend I didn't feel much movement from baby B. Naturally I was sooo nervous and worried. Monday morning I called my doctor. I was hoping she would tell me it was all normal and not to worry. Instead she told me to go to L&D and get it checked out. Luckily, baby looked fine on the monitor. His heartbeat was normal and everything was fine. I had two contractions in the hour I was there but I didn't feel them (weird). Tuesday and Wednesday I was back and forth from my doctors office to L&D to the specialist. I like that they all go the extra mile just to be on the safe side and make sure that baby B is ok, giving me some peace of mind.

All that said, we have hit the 27 week mark guys! This means we will be a full 7 months next week, which is amazing news if you ask me. I cannot wait to meet my little guy. That will sure be the happiest day of my life. For now, here are the things that are making me smile:

1. My 27 week bump
2. Looking at the 26 week/4 day bump picture and seeing a tiny bit of growth this week
3. Being included in the arts & crafts for my baby shower (love love love)
4. Rainy cozy mornings in bed, staring at our newly built crib!!! (yes we finally built it and it's all ready for baby B!!!)
5. My long wavy brown hair (yay for prenatal vitamins!)
6. Early mornings after a storm. The sky just looks soooo lovely.

Happy weekend friends!

and the bump keeps a' growin'...

Baby Bumpin'

Here I am bumpin' at 26 weeks. Yikes. This baby is growing oh so fast. But that makes me a happy girl because it means he will be here very very soon (not too soon though, I need him to fully bake before he comes out of the oven)

 Baby Bumpin'
Here we are at 25 weeks 3 days. Getting ready for a pizza dinner with teddy, teddy's parents, sister and sisters bf. It was a good night. Then again, when is it NOT a good night when you're eating pizza, right? :)

Our Room
Teddy and his dad worked on giving our room a total face-lift to welcome baby B. (oh yes, we have a name for baby!!! buutttt we will not share it until baby is here. sorry guys! lol) The room is all painted and ready to go. All we have to do now is build our new bed, build the crib, and put everything back in order :) I am soooo excited!!!

Baby's Clothes
Yesterday, I spent all morning de-tagging all of baby B's clothes that we have got him over the past weeks (there were literally mountains of clothes everywhere!!!). I decided to wash them now as we will be super busy these next couple of weeks. Baby B's wardrobe is super super cute and I have a feeling it will only get cuter...*sigh*

Other than that, we have been up to pretty much the same ol' stuff. Our lives are pretty much on an "all things baby" phase and we are loving every minute. We are also super excited for a few things coming up:

*prenatal classes (which started this week and teddy and I LOVE them)
*our San Diego trip later this month
*teddy's bday!!!
*baby shower in early November. meep.

Life is good. Happy Friday.

Life these days...(25 weeks)

25 week bump
 25 week bump.Hair. Indy.Indy. Foodie.Foodie. Foodie.Foodie.

The past week has consisted of growing this lovely bump of mine. That's right. I am now 25 weeks!!!! Which means only 15 to go...time is sure flying by. More hair growing...230472340 snuggle sessions with little mister Indy ( i love that guy)...and eating like there is no tomorrow (i must admit, i am a fatty at heart).

So there you have it, our days have been pretty darn lovely over here...we are now in the process of planning a baby shower (well not me, Teddy's mom and sister Jackie are) - they are just the sweetest ever!!! I cannot wait to share pictures of that day with you all.

Have a wonderful weekend!

A little Q+A...

Hi guys! After looking at Nardia's blog. I got inspired to do a little Q&A with you all. If you guys haven't yet, please head over to her blog. She is another mommy-to-be and you will love keeping up with her journey.

So here we go...

How Far Along: today we are officially 6 months (24 weeks)! we are pretty excited over here!!!
Size of the baby: a little over a pound and around 13.5 inches according to babycenter.com
Total Weight Gain: do we really need to go there? ok, ok. I am weighing 144 lbs. This means I've gained around 16 lbs total. yikes!!!
Movement: Danny and I both think our little mini bear is going to be either a soccer player or a kickboxer. His kicks are all types of crazy strong. He has his quiet days but when he kicks, he kicks!!! But I love it so much when he does. *sigh*
Sleep: crazy. I can no longer sleep a whole night straight. Between tossing and turning and the zombie trips to pee land, I am exhausted every morning these days.
Symptoms: have been dealing with some heartburn these past weeks. It's a bit better now thank God. I hope it stays that way.
Stretch Marks: none...yet. My tummy is starting to get a terrible itch now but I try to stay moisturized with my butter cream and not scratch.
Gender: It’s a boy! We are beyond excited for our little guy.
Maternity Clothes: Just bought 2 pairs of shorts because the heat  here in California is too much these days and I need something stretchy and comfy. Other than that, I've been living in maxi dresses and loose tees. :)
Cravings: ice cream!!! who knew! I've never been one to crave sweets or anything like that but these days, I swear by it. That and chili cheese fries. Johnny Rockets, you have my heart.
Belly button in or out: it's still in. But slowly it's stretching out and trying to pop out. For some odd reason, that super creeps me out :(
Baby Shower: we just started planning it. We have set the date for November 10 so it's  not too close to the holidays. I am super excited and so is Danny. We already picked a theme but will be keeping it a secret so it's a surprise to all our guests. Let's just say it will be different and super cute. Nothing cheesy or gender specific.

Happy Thursday to you all!!

the last couple of weeks have consisted of many randoms. we have been shopping more for baby (it's our new addiction over here), fulfilling crazy cravings, reminiscing on old times, and fighting a killer heartburn that landed me in the E.R. last week (not fun!!!)

but we really can't complain. life is good. our baby is growing oh so fast and by the looks feel of it, he will be a handful. i mean, his kicks and punches are non-stop. but i love it. i really really do.
it is our way of bonding and his way of letting mommy know that all is good in that little dwelling of his.
i seriously cannot wait until January. i want him here now. his little feetsies. leggies. babyrolls.gaaahhhh. just everything!!!

Happy Wedsnesday.

The Halfway Point.

20 Week Belly.
My tummy bear.
I cannot believe I am now 20 weeks! I am at the halfway point!!!
Where has time gone?!?!? It feels like just yesterday we found out we were expecting our little one.

My belly feels like it's growing by the minute but I love it. It reminds me of the little miracle that now resides inside of me and lets me know he is perfectly healthy and happy. I love this little guy more than anything. It's a feeling I cannot even begin to describe. His little kicks are pure joy and little pieces of heaven.

I am truly the happiest girl on the planet

It's a...

Mini Bear <3

BOY!!!

We were holding off to announce the sex of our baby until we got our formal photo announcements but we just couldn't wait so we told our close friends and family this weekend. Since we won't have our announcements until next week, I figured I'd share with you all our excitement to find out we are having a little mister! We cannot wait to hold this little guy. This weekend was filled with shopping for baby. I swear we bought our little guy a whole new wardrobe lol. My brother Roberst came in to town from New Orleans for the weekend and joined in on the fun.

We are all soooo thrilled and cannot wait to meet little Mr. Gomez!!!

Yesterday...

baby gomez

...was the happiest day of my life!!! It just keeps getting better with this little one I tell ya'.

Yesterday was finally the day of our ultrasound. We were originally supposed to go on Tuesday but long story short, they messed up at the doctors office and we had to wait until yesterday. I was a little upset on Tuesday because I had been counting the days but yesterday was all worth it. Here is mini bear at 19 weeks, in 3D!
As I was laying in the little ultrasound bed waiting for the doctor to come in, I felt baby kick me hard. That was the first time I really felt a legitimate kick. I was shocked and so was Teddy (bf). Apparently baby was just as excited as we were. Then 2 minutes later, there he was again. Kicking me like there was no tomorrow. I can try to explain what I felt but I just can't. It's just so amazing and priceless. I felt goosebumps coming all over my body and I loved every minute of it.

When the doctor finally came in, I was beyond nervous. Aside from the fact that we were about to find out whether mini bear is a boy or girl, we were also there to see if baby was healthy and didn't have any abnormalities or birth defects. (I originally was against said ultrasound because I knew that no matter what, this baby was mine and I would love him/her. Regardless. But after talking it over with my doctor and Teddy, we all decided we should do it so that in the event that mini bear needed special care, we would have a team of doctors present and ready during the birth.) As the doctor began the ultrasound/test I could already feel myself shaking a little. I was nervous. But once I saw the little body come on the screen, all my nervousness turned to pure joy and excitement. The doctor began scanning the baby, stopping at every little inch of the baby's body and measuring, and noting how much kicking was taking place lol. When he was done with the measuring he announced that the baby was perfectly normal and healthy. I felt so relieved. And oh so very happy. Throughout the whole ultrasound baby kept kicking/punching and sucking on its tiny little hand. Its little arms were crossed in front of its tiny little face and that was just too adorable. Finally, the doctor asked if we wanted to know the sex. We both said yes immediately!!! And so the doctor announced that we are having a....
